The Importance of Being Earnest? Nope!

I always say that honesty is greatly underrated.  But it’s just not very important to a lot of people these days. The Importance of Being Earnest…. is actually not, really.

The easy way out is so much better! Omitting the truth may be a coward’s lie, but why worry?  Being passive means you can always look the other way (usually, at the floor away from anyone’s gaze, or even better, between your legs where your hanging garden of Babylon dangles uselessly).  Avoidance is key. In the presence of a moral dilemna, or rather, ANY conflict, just be quiet and make sure you never take anyone’s side, because people talk, you know.  And you wouldn’t want to be the topic of catty conversation! Oh no! Meow!  Try not to stand up for your friends and loved ones, you will really just stick out like a sore thumb.  It is just plain silly to look out for anyone but yourself!  Besides, that elephant that is in the room is kind of cute anyways…

Life is much better when you don’t open your mouth or speak your mind.  No conflict; everyone will tolerate you and although they will probably forget you at times, at least no one can say anything bad about you.  It will feel like everyone actually likes you!  Please leave your spine at the door and have a great day!
